Yampa River Fest: Recap

Honored to visit dinosaur capital of USA Craig Colorado for the 1st annual Yampa River Festival

New Friends and Classic times

It was super dope connecting with Ghost.wav, an emerging heavier reggae tronic band from Denver. Their lead singer and guitarist makes some really killer artwork and right off the bat they asked Flowmads to join their set for an improve jam, which was super fun. Big Mahalos.

Accidentally called the elementals in?

You're not gonna believe this, but we having such a blast during our set, it almost felt like we were channeling the forces of nature. The weather was pretty decent with chances of scattered showers. During the song Got Dat Fiya, and in an ironcally suitable way, the weather suddenly came in with a ferocity. Seancy's hat got blown off at the most pivotal moment. The guys managed to finish the song and fade the tracks just in time for the festival runners to announce the sudden squall headed straight at the stage. This gave us just barely enough time to grab our gear and hele off the stage, getting drenched in the process. It seemed like the afternoon might be lost due the weather and with it the rest of band performances, but in classic Colorado fashion, within the next our the weather cleared up and Sensi Trails was able to crush their set with a crowd of glow sticks cheering them on.

Vibey Rodeo:

Tomorrow's Bad Seeds was majorly delayed getting into Denver and looked like they might not make it, but the boys pulled through and closed the festival out in all-time fashion. Diehard fans braved the cooling evening and enjoyed a super intimate performance, which culminated with a hefty rodeo where the guys pulled different band members from all the groups to swap in through the jam. Super pro vibes and such a classic squad pulled this off in top fashion.

Flowmads were super blessed to join this lineup and will be returning to this growing festival soon
