New Single from the Flowmads is a reminder to look and look within to see the light that's behind it all - March 2019
Story behind the song:
Seen the Light couldn't have come to be without the amazing Psychedelic Rock band AJ Froman. It was in 2017 while Seancy lived with bassist and major mind behind Froman, John Joyce, that the song began. Froman was crafting their new song Birthday Moon with the help of guitarist Jeff Shaefer's Minibrute analog synth and it got suggested that those bass synths and the vocals by lead singer Sarah Norwood could make a mean sample. Seancy always being a sample based produced originally was quick to jump on the idea and wound up chopping the vocals and reusing the base to craft the instrumental for Seen the Light. The rest is history. Flippin the song entirely on is side, the producer fleshed out what would become one of the Flowmads most popular releases with dub reggae and electronic overtones.
Daft lyrics and a catchy hook soon followed as the duo wrote the song playing off each others rhymes and patterns to create unique but complementary verses. Super light good vibes are contrasted with witty, machine gun lyrics and plenty of easter eggs in their writing as well.
Were not Doctors?
Always a staple of the crews' productions, can you spot the sound bite in the track? Such a classic. IYKYK.
