In their latest tune, Flowmads make it clear that it's nothing wrong with being Strangers. In fact, we're all just strangers saying strange words, am I right? - May 2019
Behind the Tune
The slapping 808 heavy instrumental for strangers was actually sparked from an online beat contest. The contest eventually faded to memory but the beat had so much potential, the guys took it and ran with it. Deep too. Not only did they craft a anthem to help break the ice for new fans, but they sought inspiration from a local homie and crafter of find Coffee. Thus the lyrics, "don't mind the smokin', it's coffee roastin." Always 420 medicine friendly, the lyric is a classic example of double layered writing and red herring by MC Cizflow.
Fun Fact:
The Flowmads ran a social media contest to seek out the face for the artwork for this single. None other than a long time friend and supporter became the jellyfish face, painted on plywood by the San Diego artist and long time supporter Krystal Dyer.
